Dress for Success Greater New York City is proud to collaborate with Dress for Success Worldwide to expand our impact through meaningful volunteer opportunities at our Career Center.


Beginning March 2025, Worldwide team members are invited to bring their passion, skills, and commitment to support the women we serve in New York City. Whether you're a seasoned professional, a rising leader, or someone who simply wants to give back, your expertise can make a lasting difference.

Volunteer Opportunities Include:

  • Career Services Support
    Conduct mock interviews, offer resume reviews, and provide career coaching to job seekers.
  • Upskilling & Reskilling
    Lead workshops or one-on-one sessions to help women build digital literacy, workplace readiness, and industry-specific skills.
  • Professional Networking
    Help expand access to opportunity by facilitating connections, sharing insights, and hosting networking events.
  • Professional Styling
    Support women as they prepare for interviews and new roles by helping them select outfits that build confidence and make a strong impression.

Women Who Rock Joins Forces with GNYC Mentoring and Coaching Program


We are thrilled to announce that Women Who Rock, a dynamic organization dedicated to empowering women through leadership, mentorship, and career development, will be supporting the GNYC Mentoring and Coaching Program with a $10,000 donation. Women Who Rock is committed to uplifting women in various industries by providing guidance, inspiration, and a supportive network to help them achieve their professional goals. Through this partnership, they will bring their expertise, resources, and passion to help mentees grow, thrive, and break barriers in their careers. Stay tuned for impactful programs and meaningful connections!

United Legwear Donates Dress Socks and Tights to Support GNYC Professional Styling Services

Introduction to Cultural Agility Training


In today’s diverse and globalized workforce, the ability to navigate and adapt to different cultural contexts is essential for professional success. GNYC provided a cultural agility training to the entire team that introduced key concepts and practical strategies to help individuals develop cross-cultural awareness, communication skills, and adaptability in multicultural environments. Participants learned how to recognize cultural differences, foster inclusive interactions, and build strong relationships across diverse teams. This training equiped the team with the tools to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world while promoting respect, collaboration, and cultural intelligence.

Time Management Training for Workplace Professionals


Effective time management is key to productivity and success in any professional setting. This training provided  practical strategies to help team members prioritize tasks, set achievable goals, reduce procrastination, and manage workloads efficiently. Team members learned techniques for optimizing their schedules, minimizing distractions, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance. By mastering time management skills, each team member  can enhance their efficiency, reduce stress, and achieve greater career satisfaction.

Introduction to Project Management Using Basecamp


This training provides professionals with a foundational understanding of project management principles while introducing Basecamp as a powerful tool for team collaboration and task organization. Participants will learn how to set up projects, assign tasks, track progress, and streamline communication to improve efficiency and teamwork. Through hands-on demonstrations, attendees will gain practical experience using Basecamp’s features to manage deadlines, share files, and keep projects on track. Whether you're leading a team or coordinating tasks, this training will equip you with the skills to stay organized, enhance productivity, and successfully manage projects.

Mental Health First Aid

The full GNYC team are certified as Mental Health First Aiders.  This is particularly important becuase we function in client facing roles.  We look forward to using Mental Health First Aid in as we service clients across Greater New York City.
